Tungsten Electrode

A Tungsten Electrode is a crucial component in Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). It is a non- consumable electrode made primarily of tungsten, a dense and high temperature resistant metal. It is used to create an electric arc between the electrode and the workpiece, generating the heat necessary for melting and joining metals. Tungsten Electrode exhibits good thermal and electrical conductivity, along with high melting point, which allows them to tolerate the intense heat generated during the welding process. This electrode comes in several compositions, such as pure tungsten, ceriated tungsten, thoriated tungsten, and more.
